Backbend Yoga 后弯瑜伽
Heart opening postures, from gentle backbends to deeper expressions, with modifications offered throughout.
Classes at Hae
Ten mat based classes, from long held stretches to strong continuous flow. Most are open to beginners. If you have never practised, start with Hatha Yoga.

What it is
All sixty minutes on the mat. Levels are a guide, not a gate, and instructors offer variations throughout.
Heart opening postures, from gentle backbends to deeper expressions, with modifications offered throughout.
Light stretches, mindful movement and deep breathing. A gentler way to move and release tension.
A good first class. Postures are held longer, with time to settle the breath and find alignment before moving on.
Long stretches to relieve muscle stiffness and improve posture. Useful after a week at a desk.
Tradition with intensity. Dynamic sequences that build lasting strength and energy.
Sequences travel around the mat rather than staying front facing, opening the whole body. Built on the four elements.
Breath linked to movement through creative sequences, for practitioners ready to move past the basics.
Choreographed to music so the movement lands with the beat. Good for coordination as well as flexibility.
One to one guidance at your own pace, on your own schedule.
Long held stretches targeting the deeper tissues, joints and fascia. Slow, calm and still.
Who it suits
Start with Hatha Yoga. Postures are held long enough to learn them, and it is the class we build for people on their first mat.
Power Yoga and Vinyasa build real strength, particularly through the shoulders and core.
Yin and Gentle suit anyone whose week is already fast enough.

Questions
Hatha Yoga. Postures are held long enough to learn them properly, and it is the one class we mark as a beginner class. Gentle Yoga and Yin Yoga are also easy starting points. Our Vinyasa and Power Yoga are marked intermediate, so leave those until you have a few classes behind you.
Vinyasa flows continuously with the breath and builds heat. Hatha holds postures longer at a slower pace. Hatha is the beginner class of the two. Our Vinyasa is marked intermediate, so it is better once you have a few classes behind you.
Yes. Instructors give variations for every posture, and flexibility develops with practice rather than being needed first.
Mats are available at the studio. Bring your own if you prefer.
That depends on the cause. Tell us what is going on when you book and we will suggest which suits, or whether a private session would be better first.
